Bandung Sea of Fire is a large fire events that occurred in the city of Bandung, West Java province, Indonesia on March 23, 1946. Within seven hours, about 200,000 residents of Bandung burn their homes, leaving the city to the mountains in the south of Bandung. This is done to prevent the Allied soldiers and NICA Netherlands to be able to use the city of Bandung as a military strategic headquarters in the Indonesian War of Independence.

British troops part of the Brigade MacDonald arrived in Singapore on October 12, 1945. Since the beginning of their relationship with the government of Indonesia has been strained. They demanded that all firearms in the hands of the population, except for TKR and police, handed over to them. Dutch people newly released from prison camp began to take actions that begin to disrupt security. As a result, armed clashes between England and TKR unavoidable. Night November 21, 1945, TKR and agencies struggle launched an attack on the British positions in the north, including the Hotel Homann and Hotel Preanger which they use as a headquarters. Three days later, MacDonald delivered an ultimatum to the governor of North Bandung of West Java vacated by residents of Indonesia, including the armed forces.

Allied ultimatum that the Army of the Republic of Indonesia (TRI, the designation for the military at the time) to leave the city of Bandung encourage TRI to perform the operation "bumihangus". The fighters of the Republic of Indonesia is not willing parties if Bandung used by the Allies and NICA. Bandung burned decision to be reached by consensus Assembly Persatoean Priangan Struggle (MP3) in the presence of all the power struggle of the Republic of Indonesia, on March 23, 1946 [2]. Colonel Abdel Haris Nasution as the Commander of Division III TRI announce the results of the meetings and ordered the evacuation of the city of Bandung. [Need citation needed] That same day, a large group Bandung long flowing population left the city of Bandung and the burning of the town took place that night.

Bandung TRI and intentionally burned by local people with the intention that the Allies can not use the Bandung as a military strategic headquarters. Everywhere black smoke billowing soar in the air and all of a power failure. British troops began to attack so fierce fighting occurred. The greatest battles took place in the village of Dayeuhkolot, south of Bandung, where there are a large ammunition depot belonging to Allied. In this battle Muhammad Toha and Ramdan, two militiamen BRI (Barisan Indonesian people) falls on a mission to destroy the ammunition depot. Muhammad Toha managed to detonate the dynamite warehouse. Big warehouse exploded and burned along with two militants in it. Bandung city administration staff will initially remain in the city, but for the sake of their safety, then at 21.00 it was also in the group who evacuated from Bandung. Since that time, approximately 24.00 South Bandung was empty of inhabitants and TRI. But the fire still burning city rising, so Bandung became a sea of fire.

Bandung scorched earth is considered to be an appropriate strategy in the War of Independence of Indonesia because of the strength of TRI and people's militia is not comparable to the strength of the Allies and NICA large amounts. After the incident, along with people's militia TRI guerrilla resistance from outside Bandung. These events inspired the song Halo, Halo Bandung creator name is still a matter of debate.

A few years later, the song "Halo, Halo Bandung" is officially written, into the memory of the emotions that the freedom fighters of the Republic of Indonesia experienced at that time, waiting to return to their beloved city that has become a sea of fire..

About My Last Dec Holiday

About My last Dec Holiday

Unfortunately, I did not go overseas for my holiday. But in exchange, I get to spend my time touring around Bandung and Tasikmalaya with my family and friends. That's why I'm here, I'm going to retell my December holidays to you all.

When school holiday officially started, I was elated to say the least as there would be no school obviously, no teachers, no homework, no math and no science. I could spend my time however I want without anyone controlling me. On the first day of holidays, I woke up late and ate my breakfast. Later I would open my laptop and log into Netflix to catch-up on my series and movies that I had missed because of school. Beside me was a tray full of snacks and drinks I had prepared beforehand so that all of my necessities were near me and I don't need to waste my time and energy to get out of bed and find snacks. So I did that for the whole of that week.

On the second week, my family and I went to Tasikmalaya for 4 days. We went there by train as we want to appreciate the scenery and it was more peaceful by train. Once we arrived there, we checked into a hotel named "Hotel Santika Tasikmalaya". Right after we checked in, we got into the rooms and placed our bags neatly in the room. Since we checked-in in the afternoon, we had some time to go out and find some specialty foods of Tasikmalaya for example, Tutug Oncom and Rice Cikur. It was delicious. After the meal, we went back to the hotel.

The following day, we got up early in the morning and went touring. The first place we went to was 'Taman Nyentrik'. There was a miniature of Hobbit and we took tons of pictures there. Once we were done at 'Taman Nyentrik' it was already evening, so my family and i decided to go to some tourist shops and buy some souvenirs. We bought some fridge magnets, keychains and a bear that was wearing a shirt that says 'I Love Tasikmalaya'. Then we head back to the hotel.

On the third day, we got out of the city and went to the countryside. We went to 'Bukit Kacapi'. It was an hour ride from the city to 'Bukit Kacapi'. In my opinion, it was worth the long journey as we got to see the fantastic panorama from the top of the hill. The next day we just went around the city and went back to Bandung.

There were still some days left before school starts. So my Mom and I decided to go shopping as there were huge discounts. First, we went to Paskal shopping mall. We bought clothes and sandals. As the shoes that I wanted to buy wasn't available in Paskal, we decided to go to Tran Studio Mall. Luckily, the shoes that I wanted was there. My mom bought it for me and we did more shopping. By now, me and my mom's hands were full of bags so we went back home.

For the remaining days, i spent my time with my friends and hangout at cafes till school starts :(

Biography Of Alex Turner

Biography Of Alex Turner

Alex Turner became one of Europe’s most popular frontmen in early 2006, when the first Arctic Monkeys album became the fastest-selling U.K. record of all time. Turner had formed the indie rock band several years earlier, while attending Stocksbridge High School with fellow musicians Andy Nicholson, Glyn Jones, and Matt Helders. Looking for a fifth member, the classmates added guitarist Jamie Cook, one of Turner’s neighbors in the High Green suburb of Sheffield, England. When Glyn Jones left the lineup in 2002, Turner became the band’s default frontman and lyricist.

Arctic Monkeys launched their own label, Bang Bang Recordings, and released a popular single in May 2005. Things progressed quickly from there, with Domino Records offering the guys a recording contract in June. Recording sessions for their first album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, were finished in September, and the album officially appeared in January 2006, selling over 118,000 copies during its first day. Nearly 375,000 copies were sold by the end of the week, laying the groundwork for a busy year that also included the release of a five-track EP, the departure of Andy Nicholson, the arrival of replacement bassist Nick O'Malley, and the receipt of the 2006 Mercury Prize. Although the entire band received much attention, Turner was singled out for his strong songwriting and erudite lyrics, which often focused on the ups and downs of nightlife in Northern England.

The band released a second album, Favourite Worst Nightmare, in April 2007. Later that year, Turner announced plans to form a side project with Miles Kane, who’d previously toured with Arctic Monkeys as the frontman of supporting act the Rascals. Dubbing themselves the Last Shadow Puppets, Turner and Kane released a lushly orchestrated debut album, The Age of the Understatement, in April 2008. Like Turner’s two albums with Arctic Monkeys, the record topped the charts during its first week.

HumbugTurner continued collaborating with other artists -- including Dizzee Rascal, Reverend and the Makers, and Tony Christie -- while keeping his focus on Arctic Monkeys, whose third album, Humbug, appeared in 2009. A worldwide tour followed, after which the bandmates began laying the groundwork for a fourth record. Meanwhile, Turner penned six songs for a Richard Ayoade film, Submarine, whose 2011 soundtrack doubled as the frontman’s first solo release.

Life Cycle Of Giant Pandas

Life Cycle Of Giant Pandas

Giant pandas are born during late summer. July to September is the period when mother pandas give birth. Baby pandas stay in their mothers’ uterus for just 3 to 5 months. When giant pandas are born, they are tiny, blind, and pink, with few hairs. The average weight is 100g (0.2 pounds), only 1/900 of their mother’s weight (compared to around 1/20 for humans). The lightest one on record was only 36g (0.1 pounds), and the heaviest one 210g (0.5 pounds).
The limbs of newborn pandas are so weak that they are not able to stand at all. For 2 months after birth, baby pandas basically only feed on milk, sleep, and poo.  The mother cradles her tiny cub in a paw and doesn't leave the den for several days after giving birth, even to drink. Cubs soon develop soft gray fur, which becomes coarser and develops its black and white pattern in a month. The new born panda doesn't move from the den in the first two months. After 3 months, baby pandas can start to walk. After 6 months, baby pandas can finally get their hands on bamboos.

When pandas hit the 1 year mark, they start to become independant and leave their mothers if she conceives. After 4 years old, pandas has hit maturity. Giant pandas are fully mature and able to breed at four to six years old (females at four, males at six), while captive giant pandas mature two to three years earlier. Young male pandas have a lower priority in the wild, and barely have any opportunity to mate until 7 or 8 years old. Female giant pandas are only fertile once for two to three days a year, sometime in the spring (March to May). They leave their partners after mating and rear their cubs alone. Female pandas normally bear one cub every 2 or 3 years from 4 to 18 years old. Giant panda gestation is 3 to 5 months, and cubs are usually born in late summer (August mostly) in hidden hollow trees or natural dens, where branches, dry grass, etc. are made into a kind of nest. Normally giant pandas give birth to a single cub. Even if a female has two cubs, she would normally choose to take care of one and abandon the other.
